Dash, the Guinea Pig

DASH
by
Simon Slider
(age 8)

Dash was a guinea pig that liked to escape. He escaped in the house, other houses, outside, and even in farms. He liked to eat. And he liked to eat things all up and never got full! He never wanted to stay in his cage eating all the carrots and drinking all his water that his owner (an orphaned boy named Mason) gave him. Mason lived in a orphan school in big letters called

ORPHAN CHILD SCHOOL FOR AGES 3 TO 17.

He always helped his teacher and he was nice. He lived with his teacher and one day in 2008 (that happened in May by the way) he was so nice to his teacher that his teacher said, “Would you like a pet? You have been so nice to me that I think you deserve it.”

Mason quickly nodded his head.

“What kind of pet would you like?”

“A guinea pig.”

“What name do you want to name the guinea pig?”

“Dash.”

And that’s why Dash’s name is Dash. (to be continued...)

(Original and Unedited)

This story has been written in short chapters.
Each week, I will post the continuing story.
Come back next Saturday, to see what happens to Dash.
