Are You Listening?

Are You Listening?
By Evelyn Webber
(age 2)

Once upon a time there was a Little Rabbit and her Mama. The Mama Rabbit says "Little Rabbit, are you listening?"

The Little Rabbit says "I am, Mama Rabbit."

(The next part gets *very scary* because the Little Rabbit gets lost. )

The Mama Rabbit says "Little Rabbit, where are you? Woooohooo! Littl... e Rabbit, whe...re are you?"

The Mama Rabbit looks deep in the forest. When she finds the Little Rabbit, the Little Rabbit says "Watch out, there's a lion!" The Little Rabbit says "Go Away, Lion! Go away!" And then the lion goes away.

Then the Mama Rabbit and the Little Rabbit curl up, warm and cozy, and go to sleep in the forest, because the forest was their home.

The End.

(dictated to her mother)
