MY
GOD GIVES ME SONGS TO SING
by
Rowan Champeon
(age 10)
My
God gives me songs to sing
when
my heart’s an offering.
Some
are from His word – and then
others
from the pens of men.
(Refrain)
My
God gives me songs to sing
when
my heart’s an offering.
I
am not alone at night
if
my sleep has taken flight.
For
my dear ones I can pray
until
light at break of day.
(Refrain)
Though
the path be dark and steep
and
I may be feeling weak,
everything
is from His hand;
He
it is who helps me stand.
(Refrain)
He
has promised He will hear,
and
that He will count each tear.
For
my blessings I can praise.
His
joy satisfies my days.
(Refrain)
(original and unedited)
