Fathers and Mothers

Rainbow Colars and Dads
by
Samuel Shunk
(age 9)

Look! a rainbow, said a lad.
That lad likes to compare rainbows to a dad.

red:
is their love for their children.
orange:
is raking and jumping in fall leaves
with their children
yellow:
is how happy they are
when their children chose God's way
green:
is when the dads walk
with their children in the woods
blue:
is when they're sad
when their children are sad.
indigo:
is when they're very sad
when their kids decide not to go God's way.
violet:
is how happy they are
when their children ask God to forgive them.

Primary Colars and Mothers

The primary colars,
I like to compare with Mothers.
The red:
is their love for their children.
The blue:
is when they're sad
when their children are sad.
The yellow:
is when they are happy
when their children chose God's way.
