"The Haunting Tune"

The Haunting Tune
by

(age 10 )

As I gazed out at the ocean, I saw a cruise ship floating toward the shore. The boat docked, and I jumped in. Then I heard a noise, it was a whistling noise, a haunting tune.

I could smell food, so I followed my nose to the kitchen. I ate a lot of food; it tasted like heaven! There were meatballs, cookies, ham, pancakes, and waffles. I won't tell you the rest because you would become very hungry.

I followed my ears to a room where there was a parrot, and instantly, I turned into a pirate. Again I followed the haunting tune and jumped off the ship.

I followed my ears to the museum. I saw a person in a mummy suit robbing the museum. I quickly called the police. They stopped the robber and saved the museum.

The End

When I First Became a Rider

When I First Became a Rider

When I began horse lessons, I was only six years old. I gazed at the thirteen horses. Among them was Pistole Pete, the pony. The teacher that own Pistole let me get used to him. I got used to the barn smell which was a mixture of sweet hay and horse poops. I got to pat Pistole and brushed his mane and tail. I saw that he was a brown pony and when I touched him he was as soft as velvet.

My next lesson was sunny and I led him to the riding pen. I heard him nicker and neigh. After that, I learned to use a crop. It's sort of like a whip but it has a little piece of leather at the bottom. Instead of whipping the horse, you tap it lightly to make it go. I like my horse lessons.
