My God Gives Me Songs to Sing

MY GOD GIVES ME SONGS TO SING
by
Rowan Champeon
(age 10)

My God gives me songs to sing
when my heart’s an offering.
Some are from His word – and then
others from the pens of men.

(Refrain)
My God gives me songs to sing
when my heart’s an offering.

I am not alone at night
if my sleep has taken flight.
For my dear ones I can pray
until light at break of day.
 (Refrain)

Though the path be dark and steep
and I may be feeling weak,
everything is from His hand;
He it is who helps me stand.
 (Refrain)

He has promised He will hear,
and that He will count each tear.
For my blessings I can praise.
His joy satisfies my days.
 (Refrain)
